Sreekanth (Shrek) Chalasani is an Associate Professor in the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory at the Salk Institute, and assistant adjunct professor of neurobiology at UC San Diego. Dr. Chalasani obtained his Ph.D. from The University of Pennsylvania and did post-docs at University of California San Francisco and The Rockefeller University. His Lab is interested in how neural circuits decode environmental changes and drive behaviors. They use the nematode, C. elegans and zebrafish as models to study brain functions.
