KIBM hosted its Annual Symposium on Innovative Research on June 07, 2024 featuring presentations from this year’s Innovative Research Grant recipients, keynote speaker Jim Knierim from Johns Hopkins University, and the second cohort of the Postdoctoral Scholars Program.

Many exciting talks were presented from various departments across UC San Diego and Salk Institute for Biological Sciences. IRG speakers included: Eena Kosik (Cognitive Science, UCSD), Nicholas Dotson (Salk Institute), Nicholas Antipa (Electrical and Computer Engineering, UCSD), Dhananjay Bamboo-Mukku (Psychology, UCSD), Eran Mukamel (Cognitive Science, UCSD), Stacey Glasgow (Neurobiology, UCSD), and Gulch Pekkurnaz (Neurobiology, UCSD).

Nick Spitzer announced the inaugural Charles F. Stevens Memorial Neuroscience Research Award.

Postdoctoral Scholars Program speakers included: Jingwen Li (Psychology, UCSD), Junxiang Zhou (Biological Sciences, UCSD), and Mengni Wang (Biological Sciences, UCSD).
