Allowable non-personnel expenses include equipment, lab supplies, facility recharge costs, participant payments, publication fees, and travel to present project findings at conferences.
  • The principal investigator(s) named in the grant application cover sheet has the authority to modify the proposed budget as long as the expenses support the original aims of your funded project.
  • The end date for the 2025-26 award is 6/30/2026. If additional time is required to complete the project beyond 6/30/2026, please contact kibm@ucsd.edu for information concerning an extension request.
  • If a NCE is approved, the end date for the 2025-26 award will extend to 06/30/27. All unused funds will be returned to KIBM in July 2027. There will be no carry forward after the first NCE.
