KIBM Funded Publication: Dnmt3a knockout in excitatory neurons impairs postnatal synapse maturation and increases the repressive histone modification H3K27me3

May 23, 2022

This study contributes important new insights into the role of Dnmt3a-mediated methylation in neuronal gene regulation and the maturation of brain circuits during development, and how those correlate with cognitive and social behaviors later in life. Overall, this study might be important in the context of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism and schizophrenia.
