Innovative Research Program

Now in our fifth year of granting awards for innovative research, especially research focused on ideas that bridge brain and mind organization levels, with the goal of stimulating testing hypotheses for which no standard funding stream is available. We are proud of our five-year record: 51 grants totaling $1.49 million awarded to 153 investigators at UCSD, the Salk Institute of Biological Studies, the Neurosciences Research Institute, and the Scripps Research Institute.
